She is a Senior Lawyer with 20 years of post-qualification experience and retired as Partner at Mills and Reeve LLP, Head of Strategic Health Practice and IP/ IT Solicitor. She grew Mills and Reeve health practice in the Eastern region from a team of 3 and turnover of £150,000 to a team of 14 and turnover of £1.5 million in 3 years, later heading the overall health practice having an annual turnover of £12 million

As a leading lawyer in the UK, she has advised government departments on multi-million-pound projects of national importance and specialises in advising boards on strategic, commercial and governance issues.

She is/ has been on the boards of various organizations like Family Futures CIC, Tropical Health and Education Trust Ltd., RESULTS Education Ltd., Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust, Cambridge & County Development Ltd., Netherhall School and Cambridgeshire Women and Homelessness Group.
